Choose from three special native birds to Central Oregon to deep dive into with oil paints. The choices of birds are the Black Billed Magpie with its striking colors, the Northern Flicker with its spots, or the Western Bluebird with its blue & orange combo. Alexa Oxenrider gives strong instructions on how to use the acrylics to paint these magnificent creatures. Going over technique on how to use your brushes, the colors/values on your palette and utilizing simple shapes to help you create the image you're after. She starts off giving a demonstration to the whole class for those who need help to visualize seeing the process. Once done with that you're left with time to finish your own native bird!
